Vergelijk is the first and one of the largest comparison websites in the Netherlands and Belgium and operates since 1999. We see it as our mission to help consumers find the best possible purchase. We do this by listing different products from different web shops. This allows our visitors to find a product that best suits their needs with the least amount of effort. Vergelijk is part of the international Compare Group, which is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Finland and Sweden.

Our network consists of all kinds of merchants, from large retailers to small shops. On our site you can compare more than 4 million products and read the opinions and advice of thousands of other consumers about products and stores. By giving you insight into the differences between products, prices and stores, we hope to make it easier for you to make a purchase decision.

In doing so, we like to maintain the independence of our services. This also means that we always sort product overviews by price and not by our commercial interest. Consumers can use Vergelijk for free, so how does Vergelijk maintain profitability? We work with a network of quality shop. To become part of our network, we charge a setup fee and we maintain click based fee system:

• Connection costs: shops pay a one-time entry fee. This covers the cost of a credit check that we perform for each store. It also covers the administrative costs and technical work required to connect the store to our website.
• Click amount: After selecting a product and choosing your preferred store, you can click through to the store’s website, where you can purchase the product. For that click you make, we charge a small amount for the store (officially called CPC, cost per click).

Vergelijk CSS

Vergelijk is a Google CSS Premium Partner but we do not offer a Self-service or Managed CSS solution. Once you team up with Vergelijk, you will gain visibility in Shopping. However, this is different from joining a CSS partner where you can manage your own campaigns at a discount. Our Shopping specialists will strategically run ads for your products on Vergelijk.
